Experience

It's been exactly a month since my last post, and funny that I'm still thinking about the same things.

I shut down my Facebook about that same time, so it's probably actually "deleted" now. When you shut down your account they tell you that you have a month to come back. I have not gone back.

Yesterday I was on a thought path to keep this maid service as a sole proprietorship. On LinkedIn I learned that Dave Ramsey is building a new HQ, so I texted my friend Ty to see if they were building it. They are, and once again Ty's hard work continues to inspire me.

Most of us do not think large enough. A month ago I bit off more than I could chew, but the concept was right. The timing was not. Timing is everything it seems to me when you set out to attain a goal. Had I planned, budgeted and aimed for an office I might be writing a different post, but alas here I am back to where I was when I first started the business.

Experience is a powerful teacher, and even the ten-talented people I know run into obstacles. The real test is whether or not I repeat the same mistakes, or if I slow down enough to see what has to be done to get to where I want to go.

I'd say any successful person or business would concur.
